LOWER DOLPO WITH PHOLSUNDO LAKE TREK (NEPAL)

Everest, the world’s tallest peak. Nepal is a Himalayan country sandwiched between India and China. The mighty snow-capped mountains here such as Annapurna, Mount Everest, Manaslu, and Kanchenjunga some of the best trekking trails in the world.
The district of Dolpo is divided into two regions Upper Dolpo and Lower Dolpo. Upper Dolpo encompasses a desert-like heavily Tibetan-Buddhist region that remains isolated, while Lower Dolpo contains a mix of Buddhist and Hindu villages, dense forests, and high mountains.
The Dolpo is also the homeland to some rare wildlife including the illusive snowleopard. This trek gives you a chance to visit isolated villages, the authentic monasteries, the fortified villages (dzong) and to meet local Tibetan people farmers, shepherds, nomads and monks. The region is home to the original Buddhist Bon religion. You will have the opportunity to visit several gompas and you will pass some ancient chortens . After the valley a couple of very tough but adventurous days, as you will pass two high 5000+ passes.

Day 5 – Trek from Tarakot to Laini (3160 m-7 hrs)

Trekking Grade
These are subject to individual fitness levels and could differ from person to person.

Grade 3 : Difficult
From an altitude of 4000m to 5550m is considered a strenuous trek or grade 3. Most of the trekking of Nepal is in grade 3. You need some previous trekking experiences and have decent physical fitness. Climbing and descending are very usual experiences for these types of trekking and you may have to cross small glaciers as well. This kind of trekking gives you an experience of a lifetime, has very beautiful walking surrounded by spectacular mountains

Grade 4 : Strenuous
Above 5550m is known as grade 4 trekking route. There is high chance of AMS and you must be in a very god physical condition and previous experiences. Extreme conditions make it essential of good trekking experience as you will be trekking in very rocky terrain, crossing glaciers, and going through wilderness. This is for those seeking a real adventure and challenge. There are many fairly strenuous trekking trails in Nepal
