CORPORATE TRAINING & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

“Individual commitment to a group effort–that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work”

Outbound Training (OBT) is a form of the corporate training program that uses creative ways to empower employee development. The training helps enhance the employee’s performance using experimental learning and activities that constantly challenge them in unfamiliar circumstances. As a result, it helps to heighten their potential.

The outbound training program involves outdoor adventures that will put them on unfamiliar grounds. It will trigger the instinct to face challenges head-on. Once in the zone full of challenges, they will learn to let go of fear and understand the importance of risk-taking. By the end of the course, the participants develop the ability to adapt and renew confidence. This might become the process of team bonding and understanding.

When the outbound training is conducted, the participants get divided into teams. The facilitator then allots each team a task or activity that they have to complete. The team then has only one motto, to achieve the goal and succeed.

To succeed in the activity or task, the team must communicate, step out of their comfort zones and actively participate. All these steps get executed promptly as each task is time-bounded. Hence, the team interacts to find the solution while collaborating with one other to reach the goal. What would be better motivation than the sense of winning?

They might be involved in playful training, but it will bring them realization, reflection, development, and improvement. This program might prove to be highly beneficial to evolving the employee’s skills as an individual and a team in the long run.

Why is Outbound Training important for corporate executives?

An outbound activity is conducted for development on an individual level and as a team. The training aims to meet organizational requirements such as initiative leadership, strategic thinking and decision making, and efficient communication among the team members to improve results.

The corporate world recognizes outbound training as it matches the required checkpoints while the employees learn through a playful yet experimental team-building process. It will give them freshness due to the change of environment, make them reflect and learn their shortcomings, and plan out the action plan to improve.

How To Conduct Outbound Training?

The essence of outbound training (OBT) lies in it being conducted in an outdoor environment. It helps to build a setup to conduct the experimental learning process. When performing the training, we have to keep in mind that our end goal is to develop certain aspects of the team. Hence team building activities are a must.

When outbound training is conducted in an environment surrounded by nature, participants are more likely to open up to their natural selves. Once the activities take place, they go through a continuous process of learning, adventure and communication. Finally, it leads them to achieve their goal.

The performance of each individual is monitored during the activities. First, it is reviewed and later discussed during a process called debriefing. It is crucial as it helps identify their behaviors during the training and gives them the required analysis that helped the team or resulted in lower performance.

What areas does Outbound Training cover?

Outbound Training covers various areas of overall development. For example, the team-building activities for corporates will also cover your company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

The training is led by our expert trainers, who ensure the engagement of participants in the programs that will unleash their higher potential. In addition, it will help them open up to each other and discover their new potential.

As individuals, they will explore, face challenges, and learn to accept. In addition, their communication and acceptance of each other will enhance and renew the team spirit. It is likely to help them analyze their performance and help them increase their efficiency where they lack.
